What the fuck is it with The Mainstream Media? Do they work for Trump? It sure seems to be the case. Does every single Network have to televise his
Fascist Revival Rally Speeches? As a Social Critic currently wearing my Media Critic Hat, I have to tell you, I am disgusted by how agog The Mainstream Media is right now about, and over, Trump. Every Network up and down the dial is gushing over the “Deal” he struck with Carrier‘s parent company, United Technologies ( a major Defense Contractor), and they are working overtime to rationalize & normalize this Neon Orange DayGlo Hitleresque Pontificator.
It’s stomach churning. You should have seen me last night when I realized every Mainstream Cable News Network was televising Trump’s speech in Cincinnati, Ohio. I was almost apoplectic, but not entirely, because it’s to be expected. The Mainstream Media, every single one of them who comprise it with only a few rare exceptions, is/are PATHETIC. Whatever they’re paid, it’s too much since what they are doing to YOU and America and to Humanity is an enormous Disservice. They are not informing YOU. They’re misinforming YOU.
When you elect me POTUS in 2020, and I know you will, I promise to return The Media to The People and I promise there will never again be Too-Big-To-Fail because there will be no more Rich Fucks who take all the Pie, no more Goldman Sachs, no more Wall Street and no more Mainstream Media. ALL of you will become The Media and we’ll put an end to Propaganda once and for all.
With that fiery introduction aside, let’s examine The Art Of The Deal with Carrier/United Technologies (UTX). If The Art Of The Deal means giving away The House, then Trump’s latest Deal with Carrier/United Technologies (UTX) is a perfect example of it, because Trump certainly gave The House away with hardly anything, if anything, in return. Here’s The Catch. The House isn’t Trump’s to give away. It’s your House. It’s My House. And he gave it away and he’s going to continue to give it away until he’s removed from office, or he’s prevented from being inaugurated on January 20th.
Remember when Trump said on The Campaign Trail that if Carrier/United Technologies (UTX) or any other company decided to move manufacturing out of the country under his Watch, he would impose a 35% or greater Tariff on them? I do. But that was not part of this Deal. When Trump said that on The Campaign Trail, he also explicitly stated he wouldn’t get on his knees and beg these companies to stay by offering all manner of Tax Breaks and various other sundry Incentives (Sweeteners). He said that because that is what The Democrats (The Republicans also), especially Obama, do — they offer Sweeteners to entice companies to do what they should do anyway without enticement because it’s the right thing to do.
Trump, Serial Liar that he is, does the exact opposite of what he said he would do — he, via Mike Pence’s State of Indiana, gave Carrier/United Technologies (UTX) a $7 Million Dollar Tax Concession. But wait, it gets better. Did you know that United Technologies has never paid One Red Cent in tax to The State of Indiana ever? Wrap your head around that. What this Deal means then, is, not only will United Technoligies not pay any Indiana State Tax, something it’s never done since it’s been operating in Indiana, but it will actually be receiving a Tax Credit from The State of Indiana. In otherwords, The State of Indiana, meaning The Little People who pay their taxes, will be paying the bonuses of The Rich who own United Technologies in return for only half of the jobs being relocated to Mexico. If that’s Art, it’s Dark Art as in Magick. Aleister Crowley‘s sitting there, he’s smiling. He’s watching those flames get higher & higher.
The Mainstream Media implied that Trump convinced United Technologies by assuring them he would lower the maximum Statutory Corporate Tax Rate to 15% and he would ease regulations. Interesting. Did they do their homework? Nowhere in my research could I find anyone in The Mainstream News discussing what United Technologies pays in Federal Taxes, let alone what they pay in Indiana State Taxes. It’s not difficult to find this information, but the Propagandists that are The Mainstream Media cannot, and will not, be bothered with such Minutia. One person’s Minutia, is another person’s Dagger — and I’m plunging that Dagger deep into the Cold Dark Heart of The Mainstream Media.
United Technologies doesn’t give a shit about Trump’s assurances to lower the maximum Statutory Corporate Tax Rate to 15% because it pays much less than 15% already and has for quite some time. See, United Technologies is one of the worst Tax Dodging Companies out there. They’ve figured out how to pay little to no tax, whether that tax be Federal or State. And yet, since United Technologies is a Defense Contractor, its Business Model depends on Federal Tax Revenue. When the American Military purchases its products from United Technologies, it pays with Federal Tax Revenue, so, United Technologies doesn’t exist without Federal Tax Revenue, yet it hardly pays any Federal Tax. What would happen if every company, and every person, followed United Technology‘s example and “legally” dodged taxes? Greece comes to mind. It all collapses.
You don’t believe me about United Technologies and its Tax Dodging ways? Here’s your proof, as if it will change Your Recalcitrant Mind. I’m sure you’ll find a way to rationalize all of this and normalize it. The Rich know you will. They rely on you to do just that. They give you The Chains, and you fasten them around your wrists and ankles and neck and you keep them fastened there, securely. They don’t have to lift a finger. You incarcerate yourself. You’re that predictable and gullible. You’re that fucking stoooopid. You’re that fucking pathetic.
The following screen shot is from the Tax Justice Blog here.
In fact, as an aside but it’s pertinent & relevant, more than half the companies that comprise the S&P 500 already pay 15% or less in Federal Tax, and more than three quarters of the companies (482 out of 500) that comprise the S&P 500 pay less than 20%. Don’t believe me? Check this link out. Below, is a screen shot for illustration and your edification. The % on the left is the Actual Paid Rate and the % on the right is the Effective Rate. Propagandists will fool you by using the Effective Rate, but keep in mind, the Effective Rate is not the Actual Paid Rate. They most always differ.
As for regulations, it’s unclear what easing or lifting regulations means, but considering some of the Cabinet Picks thus far, it doesn’t bode well for Workers (I hate this word — I might as well say Slaves). Myron Ebell, who Trump chose to lead the transition at The EPA, considering his dubious credentials and history related to environmental concerns, is tasked with putting that organization out of its misery, or The Rich‘s misery, for good. What this means is, effectively, no more environmental regulations. Companies will be able to pollute at will. It’s a Green Light to destroy the environment entirely without any legal repercussions. I’m sure OSHA regulations will be gutted and discarded as well, meaning, workplaces will become much less safe. While they’re at it, no doubt they’ll get rid of Workers Compensation Laws as well, so, if you are injured as part of employment because of an unsafe work environment, too fucking bad. That’s Life. Deal with it, or fucking kill yourself because some other pathetic dolt who voted for it will be more than happy to take your place on the line.
If Trump and his Rich Fuck Friends bring the jobs back to America, they will officially turn you into Slaves/Serfs. Otherwise, they will be unable to realize their expected Return on Investment. They require a certain profit percentage, and in order to return jobs to America, you have to make about ten times, or at least ten times, less than what you’re making now at those jobs. As well, environmental regulations have to be eliminated altogether, meaning America’s environment will be turned into a Toxic Cesspool. It will be one giant toxic Love Canal. This is why these companies moved manufacturing out of the country to begin with — because they wanted to pay next to nothing for labor and and not have to incur any expenses related to environmental regulations. No amount of Tax Incentive is going to bring the jobs back. The only thing that will bring the jobs back is if you’re willing to work for free, essentially, and you have no problem breathing toxic fumes and drinking toxic waste. Or, you can pay much higher prices for your products while your wages are held static which necessarily means you will not be able to afford most of what’s being manufactured.
The point I’m trying to make is that this is much more entangled and complex than you can comprehend. Trump’s little Dog & Pony Show with United Technologies & Ford is Smoke & Mirrors. He gives you ten bucks with one hand and he will take a hundred from you with the other. See it for what it is.
If he was even halfway sincere, which is impossible for him to be, he would concentrate his efforts first and foremost on Walmart. Once upon a time, Walmart‘s slogan was Made In America. Walmart, way back when, bragged about only selling products that were Made In America. They have since dropped that slogan although they still feign as though they care about and support American Manufacturing. But it’s just that — feigning.
The giant retailer’s low prices often come with a high cost. Walmart’s relentless pressure can crush the companies it does business with and force them to send jobs overseas. Are we shopping our way straight to the unemployment line?
Walmart is not just the world’s largest retailer. It’s the world’s largest company—bigger than ExxonMobil, General Motors, and General Electric. The scale can be hard to absorb. Walmart sold $244.5 billion worth of goods last year. It sells in three months what number-two retailer Home Depot sells in a year. And in its own category of general merchandise and groceries, Walmart no longer has any real rivals. It does more business than Target, Sears, Kmart, J.C. Penney, Safeway, and Kroger combined. “Clearly,” says Edward Fox, head of Southern Methodist University’s J.C. Penney Center for Retailing Excellence, “Walmart is more powerful than any retailer has ever been.” It is, in fact, so big and so furtively powerful as to have become an entirely different order of corporate being.
Walmart wields its power for just one purpose: to bring the lowest possible prices to its customers. At Walmart, that goal is never reached. The retailer has a clear policy for suppliers: On basic products that don’t change, the price Walmart will pay, and will charge shoppers, must drop year after year. But what almost no one outside the world of Walmart and its 21,000 suppliers knows is the high cost of those low prices. Walmart has the power to squeeze profit-killing concessions from vendors. To survive in the face of its pricing demands, makers of everything from bras to bicycles to blue jeans have had to lay off employees and close U.S. plants in favor of outsourcing products from overseas.
Of course, U.S. companies have been moving jobs offshore for decades, long before Walmart was a retailing power. But there is no question that the chain is helping accelerate the loss of American jobs to low-wage countries such as China. Walmart, which in the late 1980s and early 1990s trumpeted its claim to “Buy American,” has doubled its imports from China in the past five years alone, buying some $12 billion in merchandise in 2002. That’s nearly 10% of all Chinese exports to the United States.
One way to think of Walmart is as a vast pipeline that gives non-U.S. companies direct access to the American market. “One of the things that limits or slows the growth of imports is the cost of establishing connections and networks,” says Paul Krugman, the Princeton University economist. “Walmart is so big and so centralized that it can all at once hook Chinese and other suppliers into its digital system. So—wham!—you have a large switch to overseas sourcing in a period quicker than under the old rules of retailing.”

Here’s another interesting & enlightening article in case you have not yet been enlightened on this topic.
America absolutely loves Walmart. 100 million customers visit Walmart every single week in this country. But is Walmart good for America? That is a question that most people never stop and ask. Most of us love shopping in big, clean stores that are packed with super cheap merchandise, but the truth is that Walmart is destroying America in a lot of ways. As you will see below, Walmart has destroyed tens of thousands of small businesses and countless manufacturing jobs over the past couple of decades. Walmart has become a gigantic retail behemoth that sells five times more stuff than any other retailer in the United States. Unfortunately, a large percentage of all the stuff sold at Walmart is made overseas. What that is costing the U.S. economy in terms of lost jobs and lost revenue is incalculable. But Walmart is a perfect example of where our economic system is headed. Our economy is becoming completely and totally dominated by highly centralized monolithic predator corporations that ruthlessly crush all competition and that will stoop to just about anything in order to cut costs. In the future, will we all be working for gigantic communal entities that funnel all of the wealth and economic rewards to a very tiny elite? That sounds very much like how communist China works, and red-blooded Americans should want no part of that. America is supposed to be about free enterprise and competition and working together to build up this country, and Walmart is destroying all of that.
And finally, because we now know unequivocally that Trump is a Serial Liar, the President-Elect will not be building The Wall. I’d say Thank God, but God, if there is one, has nothing to do with it. Remember what Trump says in The Art Of The Deal. I’ll quote it again below.
I play to People’s Fantasies. I call it Truthful Hyperbole. It’s an innocent form of exaggeration, and a very effective form of promotion. ~ Donald J. Trump
Since The Wall won’t be built, those 1,100 additional jobs that are temporarily staying in Indiana that were slated for Mexicans will now result in at least three times that many making their way across The Border. If those jobs were shipped to Mexico, that would mean 1,100 Newly-Minted Mexican Carrier Employees plus another 2,000 Mexicans supporting them and extended family members would not find their way across the border into America because they would have what they need in Mexico. I’m not advocating for Illegal Immigration, mind you. All I’m doing is revealing the contradictions and lies related to Trump’s Broken Campaign Promises.
That’s all for now. Remember, in case you don’t already know but you should, It’s All Lies. You are deluding yourself if you think otherwise. They think you’re Rubes, and so far, they’re correct in that assessment. Do you have it in you to prove THEM wrong? We’ll see, but I kinda doubt it.
